I now have much better pain Meds!! What a great difference, I only wish they could have figured this out 12 hours earlier.
Still very sore and getting up or out of bed is a slow careful project.
It is Thursday night here in Tokyo
, it may be a pipe dream but I am going to pester them to let me out on saturday. If I don't get out on Saturday, I will have to wait until Monday, which would still be short of the week to three weeks they said.
I am sleeping a lot, but I am also getting bored :)
Thanks go out to Tim B for the use of his iPod touch, I am listening to a lot of audio books
Cheers!
Stu

  1. Glad to hear you made it out with all your lymph nodes intact! I hate it when it takes the docs so long to get the pain meds dialed in - it doesn't hurt.... them!!!

  2. Welcome to LaLa Land! That Rx I said I wished I could send you, got turned down by the insurance company. If you want, you can send me yours, Shouldn't be a problem. Homeland Security in the States can't find it's a$$ with both hands unless it's on a well endowed young blonde female!

Hang in there, the worst is over.

  3. Hey Stu!

Glad to hear they got the pain meds dialed up for you. Having been there, I know what a difference it makes.

Now, quit pushing to get yourself released. Your body needs time to heal. Knowing your type A personality, you will not rest at home like you should. Besides, you are likely to drive Emiko crazy and she might leave and make her mother take care of you.

Listen to the books. Rest. Relax. Sleep as much as you can. Rest and relax some more. The more you do of that for a week or so, the faster you will heal and the less likely you are to do something silly to aggravate the surgical site.

Focus your attention on writing about the hospital, the nurses, and the doctors who are looking after you. You'll have us in stitches, too!

    Rest, and get well soon!

  4. Hi Stu, being in a hospital without having a shop close must be very boring,;-) and the pain doesn't help as well, so I thought I'd better drop you a line.
As you may know Peter Rideout is arriving here on friday, and I'm going to show him and his wife around the city. I'm looking forward to it and we'll let you know how it goes.
On the meantime, relax, concentrate all your energy in healing and you'll be out of there pretty soon.

    Take care
